Kareena to skip Toronto premiere of 'RA.One' for Reema Katgi's 'Dhuaan'

 Kareena Kapoor, better known of late as the 'Khan Queen', finds herself in an awkward situation thanks to that very celebrated title. The dates of the Toronto premiere of her 'RA.One' with Shah Rukh Khan and the shooting schedule of Reema Katgi's 'Dhuaan' with Aamir Khan are apparently clashing.

Not surprisingly Bebo has chosen Mr Perfectionist, the Khan she has been raving about ever since their blockbuster film '3 Idiots', over 'RA.One'. A source, however, defends her decision of choosing Aamir over Shah Rukh Khan.

"Kareena has to take some special training for an underwater sequence in the film and she needs time for that too. So going for the premiere is out of the question." The shoot sequence in question was supposed to be shot in the outskirts of Mumbai. It was cancelled last minute due to certain technical issues.

Kangana feels that Bollywood not very stylish

Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut, who walked for designer Shantanu Goenka at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Monday, says the people in Bollywood are not very stylish except for her contemporaries Priyanaka Chopra and Sonam Kapoor.

"I don't want to hurt anyone with my remarks, but I find that the style quotient is missing in Bollywood except for Priyanka and Sonam who know how to carry well," Kangana told reporters here.

The Kolkata-based designer presented a line inspired by the French queen Marie Barrios.

According to him, Kangana was the perfect muse for this collection.

"I wanted Kangana to look feminine, I didn't want to go overboard and I thought she completely justified the theme," he said.

Dressed in a white and beige gown, she looked confident while sashaying down the ramp.

"I never feel uncomfortable while walking the runway as I have done it in films like 'Fashion' and 'Raaz 2'. So it has become a part of my character," Kangana said.

"Also, I love Shantanu's design and admire his creativity. He always makes something which suits my complexion and figure," she added.

When asked about her future projects, she said: "I am working on the sequel of 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Ishqiya'."

Before you jump to any conclusions and start wondering if Salman and Katrina are back together again, let me tell you there relationship as such is over. They are of course back together on-screen for Yash Raj Films’ next with Salman, which is as you all know, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. The shooting for Ek Tha Tiger has kicked off in Ireland and Salman and Katrina are taking part in the shoot as thorough professionals.

Our Sallu Bhai though is still battling with a little pain from his facial nerve surgery though. Yet he seems to be giving his best for the film’s shoot that is right now taking place in Dublin, the capital of Ireland.

On sets, both Katrina and Salman are indeed sharing a cordial relationship without letting their break-up affect either the movie or their persona. In fact, they seem to be having quite a jolly good time on the sets. It should be fun to watch the duo on-screen, come June 2012.

Katrina Kaif recently gave an interview to TOI where she talked about her memorable trip to India t the age of 17. What took be my surprise was the fact that she was studying Engineering in London before coming to India.

At 17, I made the sudden decision to come to India in search of a career. I was studying engineering in London at that time, but my heart wasn't in it. I wanted to give modelling and the glamour industry a shot.

Once I'd made up my mind, everything was a blur till I landed in Mumbai. I wasn't anxious or apprehensive about being in a new country as it was like an adventure to me, plus I arrived with my eldest sister Christine. Initially, I did feel slightly overwhelmed - Mumbai is a bustling city, full of energy. We rented a small apartment in Bandra and I met photographer Farrokh Chothia. There was no pressure to succeed at that point, so I'd go for auditions and find myself auditioning with 50 other models. That year shaped what happened in my life.

I met many wonderful people then, like designers Rocky S and Ana Singh, some of whom I still call friends today. It was an important year of discovery in my life - my 17th year. I was in love with Mumbai and felt a sense of belonging here. I thought maybe it was because of my Indian heritage (my father being Indian). Till then, I hadn't been in touch with him much as my father wasn't around too much when I was living in London.

My mom never advised me against modelling or joining the film industry. She just wanted me to be happy. Of course, she was concerned about my safety when I was living alone in Mumbai, so often she would fly down to be with me.

I used to eat a lot then. I wasn't fat, but definitely heavier than I am now. I remember eating homemade chicken curry, especially dal-rice, as it was tasty and inexpensive. It was an exciting phase for me. After Christine left, mom came down for a little bit. I also met Reshma Shetty then, who is my brand manager today. At that time, she and photographer Atul Kasbekar were running a company together. Alison Kanuga was a model coordinator and took me under her wing. It was then that I met Alvira Agnihotri - at an exercise studio. I was struggling to do some steps on an exercise machine facing the wrong direction and Alvira helped me through it. That broke the ice. I met Salman Khan a year later and things changed forever.

Vidya Balan was earlier confirmed to star opposite Sunny Deol in the sequel ‘Ghayal Returns’, however the ‘The Dirty Picture’ actress recently shunned the film for a very unusual reason. Apparently Vidya Balan is anxiously waiting to get critics and audiences response to her work in the film ‘The Dirty Picture’. Vidya doesn’t wants to take up any new film before the release of ‘The Dirty Picture’ merely because she is heavily banking on it.

However she didn’t give this reason for her withdrawal from the film as she stated that she has no dates to commit for the film. Nevertheless it is heard that dusky beauty Bipasha Basu might step in the big shoes of Vidya Balan. Apparently Bipasha has already been approached to star in the film opposite Sunny Deol and the confirmation from her is yet to come.

The film was slated to go on floors this November, however without a female lead and some incomplete work the film has now been postponed to early 2012 schedule.

Priyanka replaces Deepika Padukone in ‘Race 2′

The story that Deepika Padukone walked out of Race 2 to do Yeh Jawani Hain Diwani with Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukherjee is abuzz in the Bollywood circuit. However, Race 2 producer Ramesh Taurani tweeted it was a false rumour. He insisted that the leggy lady was still a part of the Abbas-Mastan film also starring Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha.

But his worst fears came true. Apparently, Deepika couldn’t work out her dates and they desperately began looking for a new leading lady. They went back knocking on Priyanka Chopra’s door who was the first choice to play the role. Initially, when Race 2 sequel was being finalised the producer had spoken to Piggy Chops, but she was busy with Don 2 and turned down the offer.

A year later and the filmmakers have landed in the same situation and are just a month away from the shoot. As per a source close to the filmmaker, this time Priyanka is seriously considering Race 2 and working out her dates to accommodate the film. Wethink Dippy preferring to do a film with Ranbir Kapoor over the thriller is a good decision. On the other hand, it will also be great to watch PC join the boys for some thrilling action.

The ‘Dabangg’ starlet, Sonakshi Sinha recently showed her ‘Dabangg’ side on a social networking site by her bold statement criticizing the cops for wrongly harassing her friend who was innocent.

She tweeted, “A drunk motorcyclist crashed into my friends car who was taking a U-turn at the speed of 10. Cut to - cops come and bewda runs away.”

She added: “Instead of chasing bewda, cops take my frd to station and give her a good yelling until she pays and is let off. Wah wah wah. Kya baat hai.”

she also expressed that her friend had been wrong in paying the cops. “Now the first thing I told her was ur stupid to have paid. To which she says ull knw only whn ur alone with 10 cops who r obv nt v honest,” she wrote with a signing note, “Sad but true.”

Priyanka Chopra was recently asked to gyrate to a dance number for Saif Ali Khan’s home production Agent Vinod, but the actress turned down the offer.

According to source, “Dinesh Vijan, the co-owner of Illuminati Films the production house has met up with Priyanka in London and offered her the item number. Priyanka is not too keen to take up the offer. While miracles can happen anytime in Bollywood, the chances of Priyanka changing her mind over this dance number are extremely remote.”

However, PC’s decision to turn down the offer did not come as a surprise to many, considering the on-off rivalery between the lead actress of Agent Vinod, Kareena Kapoor and PC.

Seems like Piggy Chops has limited herself to item numbers only for her dear friend SRK.
