Deepika Padukone has been approached for a parallel lead role in Saif Ali Khan's Agent Vinod. Kareena Kapoor is the female lead in the film.If things work out, this would be the first time Bebo and Dippy would co-star in a film.

A troubled history
Bebo had openly expressed her displeasure when her fav director Imitiaz Ali picked Deepika over her for Saif's first home production Love Aaj Kal.

Bebo-Saif last came together in Kurbaan which failed, so now even Kareena isn't averse to the idea of Dippy joining the cast.

A source spills the beans. "Even though it's a second lead, the character plays an important role. Saif is extremely professional as a producer and will cast the actor who will do proper justice to the role. And while Kareena and Deepika aren't friends, that will not come in the way of casting."

When contacted, Deepika didn't deny or confirm the development. Dinesh Vijan claims there's no truth to the speculations.

The poster of nude Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor got into trouble in Mumbai, as angry Shiv Sena workers covered Kareena’s nude body with a saree.

Shiv Sena chief Jitendra Janawale asks, The scene in question is totally against Maharashtra’s Hindu culture. No sooner the posters were put up all over the city, we got lots of complaints from people, esp. from the concerned parents of school children, stating that the said posters were in bad taste. We have anyways issued a strong warning to the filmmakers through the media. We want all the backless posters that have been put all over the city to be removed as soon as possible. Failing which, we shall protest against the film when it releases.” “How are such obscene posters being allowed by the authorities.everal women and children pass by the posters. What effect will it have on them.”

Janewale said, “We will soon visit Kareena’s residence and present her a saree.”

Talking about the issue, Kareena only said, “I hope I like the colour of the sari.”

When some women workers gave a visit to Bebo’s house to present her a saffron colored saree, the police stopped and arrested them.

Kareena :Why Shiv shena is indulging everywhere

The posters of Karan Johar’s upcoming production Kurbaan, showing a barebacked Kareena Kapoor posing with a bleeding Saif Ali Khan has angered the Shiv Sena in Mumbai.

On Friday, around 200 Sena workers, including women, gathered in Juhu, Marol and part of Andheri, to protest against what they called the “obscene” posters of the film. The workers even draped a sari around Kareena in one poster.

According to Sena's deputy chief in Andheri, Jitendra Janawale, they got complaints from Juhu residents about the provocative posters. Another Sena activist, Subhash Kanta Sawant, claimed the posters “violated Indian culture” because they showed the actress “semi-nude”.

A few women workers of Shiv Sena also went to Kareena’s house to gift her a saffron sari. However, Kareena was out for shooting at that time and there were enough police personnel deployed outside the actress’s home to prevent any untoward incident.

Shiv Sena has also threatened to stop the screenings of ‘Kurbaan’ in Mumbai if the “objectionable” posters weren’t removed. The film is slated to release on November 20.

Just last month, Karan Johar had faced a similar protest from MNS for using the word ‘Bombay’ instead of ‘Mumbai’ in his film Wake Up Sid. Karan had then kowtowed to pressure and apologized to Raj Thackeray for the ‘mistake’. Let’s see what course Karan takes this time.

Kurbaan is a Masala Thriller:Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor has said that her backless shot in ‘Kurbaan’ subtly tells a lot about the story of the movie. ‘Kurbaan’ is an intense story about terrorism.

"This shot of me in a backless posture and Saif with a wound on his chest tell so much about the film's theme," Kareena said.

"There is love, passion and violence - all combined in here and what better way than to show it through a single still? You too would agree that there is nothing sleazy or vulgar about it. Knowing the sensibilities of Karan Johar (producer) and Rensil D'Silva (director), that's the least one could have expected," she added.

Kareena said that after character of Geet in ‘Jab We Met’, her character of Avantika in ‘Kurbaan’ will make people take notice.

"The girl's role has a lot of edge in 'Kurbaan', something which starts becoming more and more visible as the film unfolds. In any case the film is not one of those cliched love stories. Every character has quite a few layers to it and Avantika, the character I play, is no exception. She is quite pivotal to 'Kurbaan'," she said.

Kareena plays a professor in ‘Kurbaan’ who marries her colleague, played by Saif Ali Khan. They shift to New York after marriage, but as a series of incidents unfold she finds herself in a whirlpool of danger and intrigue.

She further realises that she is a pawn in a huge game and no one could be trusted.
