Katrina Kaif To Pair Shah Rukh khan

As per the latest reports, Shahrukh Khan and Katrina kaif might pair- up in the Paris –based Indian filmmaker Vijay Singh’s next venture.

Reportedly, Vijay is keen on casting the Baadshah of Bollywood as Nawab Naseeruddin Haidar as he has previous experience of acting in a historic movie, Ashoka, Playing the role of emperor Ashoka and the sultry B-Town actress Katrina for the role of a British girl. This biopic is based on an 18th century love story between an Awadh king and a British girl.

Curry in the past is currently in Delhi for the screening of his latest documentary, Indian by song. When asked about his taking up both the superstars of bollywood, he revealed that he shares good vibes with SRK and is excited about this fresh pairing. The film will be, supposedly made on a budget of 60-70 crores.

He also said “I wanted to cast him in Jaya Ganga but he was busy and things did not work out. But this time, Shah Rukh had liked the idea.

For Katrina he was quoted as saying,’ I was planning to take a Hollywood starlet opposite Shah Rukh for the role of the British girl, but I might talk to Katrina Kaif as I have been told she is British and a fine actress.’

The 'Baadshah' of Bollywood and the hottest babe of Bollywood are back together. Yes...we are indeed talking about Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor who are currently busy shooting for the sci-fi extravaganza Ra.1 in London. Amidst all the dare-devil action sequences, the duo are also having a good time bonding with Karan Johar who is also in London. Karan in fact even visited the sets of Ra.1 and assisted in the shooting much to the cast and crew's delight.

Both SRK and Karan in fact have been busy tweeting about all the fun that happens on the sets of Ra.1. SRK tweets, "long day at work...shooting double shifts on same film on an outdoor. never done this before. one way to tire urself to avoid loneliness." The superstar also seems to be all praise for his director Anubhav Sinha. Says SRK, "anubhav sinha took some awesome shots today...all were amazed. I am so excited by it all...hope we can share this film with all of u soon."

From the looks of it, King Khan has yet another blockbuster up his sleeve in the form of Ra.1.

SRK's wax statue shifts to Hong Kong

He’s standing there for sure. Not him but his wax statue that was made by Madame Tussauds, London in 2007.

On a loan from London, Madame Tussauds at Hong Kong will display Bollywood’s superstar Shahrukh Khan’s wax statue for three months. He will be standing there with Hollywood celebs like Harrisson Ford, Johnny Depp and Jackie Chan.

With a lot of Indian tourists traveling to Hong Kong, the world famous wax gallery wanted to include SRK’s statue to receive attention. Indian celebrities are not new to Madame Tussauds, Big B has already stood there. We mean his statue!

Priyanka Chopra, the 2000 Miss World and one of the leading ladies of the present Bollywood recently received the National Award for her stellar performance in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film ‘Fashion’. And her co-star from ‘Don’ Shahrukh Khan had lavished bucketfuls of praise on Piggy Chops.

And, the suave and super hot actress showers flowery words for the King Khan. She says in his eulogy,

“I have been very vocal about my feelings for Shah Rukh Khan. I can’t tell you how proud, excited and humbled I am that he called me a ‘Shero’. Especially since he is someone I have admired from a very young age. Praise coming from someone I idolise means a lot more to me. It feels even better because when you are self made, you are constantly looking for someone to say that you are doing the right thing. The fear factor is huge, you keep asking yourself, ‘Am I going the right way?’ I have no formal training. I don’t know films up, close and personal. My schooling has been my career. When compliments like this and awards happen, it just gives me the signal that I am headed in the right direction. I’m going to find my feet soon”.

SRK-KJo to host IPL Awards

Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar have co-hosted many Bollywood award functions in the past and now for the first time ever the duo will be seen hosting the grand IPL Awards scheduled to take place on April 23rd in Mumbai this year. The announcement was made by IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi at a function in Mumbai yesterday.

With the whole nation being gripped by the IPL frenzy, the organizers have decided to come up with the first ever IPL Awards which will recognize the best performances and honour the best players of the IPL. Some of the categories are Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder, Best IPL Debutante, Most Consistent Performer, Most Dramatic Performance and Breakthrough Performance.

The evening will be a fusion of cricketing and entertainment excellence, with some of India's biggest names, including AR Rahman, Shilpa Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan, set to deliver their trademark energy and style. Besides, the event will also feature performances by some leading cricketers, who will show they are equally talented off the field too.

The winners in these categories will be selected by an esteemed jury comprising of Lalit Modi, Sunil Gavaskar, Brian Lara, Harsha Bhogle, Javagal Srinath and umpire Simon Taufel. Apart from the jury awards there is also a separate section for the Viewers' Choice Awards where cricket fans will get to vote for their favorite performers from the IPL.

Shahrukh receives NDTV icon of the year award

SRK was awarded with Icon of the Year award at the recently held NDTV Indian of the Year awards, Aishwarya Rai also won the same award in Female category.

SRK was given away the award by Home minister P Chidambaram, who remarked, “I would love to watch SRK-starrer My Name is Khan…I am waiting for the English subtitles…It was great the way Khan brought out Mumbai’s solidarity…The attack on the movie (by Shiv Sena) was not an attack on the film, it was an attack on the idea of India.”

Karan Johar who is very active on social networking site Twitter, received the Social Networking Icon of the Year award.
